Workshop 1 – Leadership potential

The world needs more good leaders. Leaders inspire and drive communities to act, they bring out the talents and potential in the people they serve, and they challenge the status quo to create novel ways of solving tricky problems.

In this first session of the EREA Pathways to Leadership program, we’re going to spend the day developing your leadership potential.

Workshop 2 – Influence and impact

Workshop overview

Your leadership challenge is a core component of this program experience. It provides the platform for you to apply much of what we discuss throughout the program in a high visibility, strategic context.

In this session we will discuss how to develop a project proposal that secures buy-in and budget (if necessary), and showcases the impact you can have.

Workshop 3 – Profile and networking

Workshop overview

In this session, we’re looking at your leadership profile, focusing on:

  • What you are known for
  • The gaps between how you want to be seen and your current profile, plus ways to close that gap
  • How to use LinkedIn to elevate your profile

Workshop 4 – Career strategy

Workshop overview

The road to leadership can be tricky. Having a career strategy backed up by influential advocates is essential. In this session we’ll cover:

  • Beginning with the end in mind: What will be your legacy?
  • Setting goals to achieve your vision
  • Mapping activity to achieve your goals
  • Milestones and celebrations

Final session – Wrap and connect

Workshop overview

In this final session, we’ll wrap up the program in a face-to-face with your sponsors where we’ll cover:

  • Progress you’ve made with your adaptive challenge
  • Leadership challenge showcase – present your challenge in groups for recognition and feedback
  • Pay it forward – what can you do to share what you’ve learned with others
